We will not sell or rent your e-mail to third parties. We require your e-mail address to notify you when your question has been answered.
We ask when you sign up for this site if you would like to subscribe to a monthly newsletter that includes featured questions, funny questions and updates about the site. This is optional (opt in), and every message will include a link where you can unsubscribe.
We may use your question in to promote the service. We respect your privacy and will remove personal identifying details.
When we set up forums in the future, you may receive private messages from users who click on the PM link in your posts. You will be able to specify whether these PMs arrive in your e-mail inbox.
Once in a blue moon, we might notify everyone of a change that requires action on your part. For example, if we somehow change the registration system so everyone has to re-register, that would merit an e-mail. However, we have seen other sites use this approach, and we think it's stupid. We should be able to set this up right the first time so that's not necessary.
